Her Life and Work

Cristina Fournier Beeche

She was born in Barrio Amón, located in the city of San José, Costa Rica.

She painted from the age of five and from there he began his career in painting, entering the University of Fine Arts of the University of Costa Rica, traveling to Rome to expand his knowledge and then returning to his country.

She began her working career as a textile designer in New York.

She was awarded the 1991 Aquileo Echeverria National Prize in painting and held individual and group exhibitions since 1958 in Central and South America.

She works with watercolor, oil and mixed techniques.

Of her exhibited works, the samples of paintings, drawings and illustrations stand out in the Francisco Morazán Room of the organization of Central American States in 1971, in the Orchidology club, Jeferson Society, New Orleans, USA.
